This four-year course is designed to produce competent and responsible nurses for various medical settings for here and abroad. The course equips students the skills, knowledge and attitude for total commitment in the delivery of nursing care services as envisioned by the various sectors of society. Students who graduate from this course are expected to become highly qualified and globally competitive nurses.
The curriculum seeks to:
- Develop students' awareness of the existing health needs of society as well as the dedication to abate distress arriving thereafter
- Develop students' skills, knowledge, attitude and values necessary for the attainment of the four fundamental goals of nursing namely: Promotion of health, Prevention of illness, Restoration of health and Alleviation of Suffering
- Develop a research attitude utilizing the nursing process as the basic framework which leads to the utilization of research findings.
