National U holds Industry Recruitment Day


National University-College of Computing and Information Technologies, College of Engineering, and College of Business and Accountancy recently conducted an “Industry Recruitment Day” held at the 12th floor, Multi-purpose Hall, NU Annex Building last March 22, 2019.

With the university’s partner industries; Accenture, Navitaire, Department of Transportation, DENSO, Tata Consultancy, Amkor Tech, TrendMicro, it has successfully manifested its theme, “The Future of Jobs, Embracing Industry,” through featuring a career symposium and one-day job-fair.

Graduating students, incoming interns, and professors from different colleges were able to learn more about possible industry opportunities and relevant activities for individuals and organizations’ mindsets in addressing growing pressures around them.

Invited to speak in the afternoon’s symposium was the Leadership, Diversity and Inclusion Associate of Tata Consultancy from Indonesia, Ms. Dio Rizky Anamia, who discussed about Growth Mindset and its essence in students’ future and career. PsychSoc holds Linggo ng Sikolohista: Mental Health Seminar


The National University Psychology Society celebrated their “Linggo ng Sikolohista” by arranging a mental health seminar last October 15, 2018at the 12th floor Multi-purpose Hall of the Annex Building. 

The seminar was made possible through the Psychology Society Council and its sponsors. In addition, the Psychology Society invited Dr. Gia Sison and Senator Risa Hontiveros to take part in spreading mental health awareness in the universityespecially to the Psychology majors. 

The seminar started after noon with the opening remarks of Prof. Arnel Diego and a couple of ice breakers that were enjoyed by the Psychology community.  

The guest speaker, Dr. Gia Sison, arrived shortly after and discussed the importance of mental health to every individual. She also mentioned different steps towards achieving a healthy mental state. Furthermore, she also gave free tickets on an event she’s attending to those few who answered her questions.  

Senator Risa Hontiveros, one of the authors of the Mental Health Law, also attended the seminar as a keynote speaker. She discussed the Mental Health Law, including how she came up with it by observing the environment nowadays.
