NU Baliwag Joins International Coastal Clean-Up 2025: Clean Seas Against the Climate Crisis

In solidarity with global efforts to fight environmental degradation, NU Baliwag proudly took part in the International Coastal Clean-up 2025 with the theme “Clean Seas Against the Climate Crisis.”

Held in collaboration with DENR-CENRO Baliwag, the event brought together NU Baliwag volunteers, Baliwag City Jail, and other dedicated community groups for a river clean-up drive along the Angat River. This river, which directly connects to Manila Bay, plays a vital role in the ecosystem—making the initiative even more impactful.

By cleaning the Angat River, participants not only removed waste and reduced pollution but also helped prevent debris from reaching the seas. Every piece of trash collected represented a significant step toward healthier waterways, more resilient communities, and a sustainable future.

Collective Effort, Shared Impact

NU Baliwag’s active participation was made possible through the commitment of its faculty and student volunteers, who worked hand in hand to make a difference. Their efforts highlight a powerful truth: small actions, when multiplied, create ripples of lasting change.

Through this initiative, NU Baliwag continues to live out its values of community service, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility, proving that Nationalians are not only leaders in academics but also champions of sustainability.

Together, let us keep taking steps toward cleaner rivers, cleaner seas, and a brighter tomorrow.
