NU Baliwag Shines: SEAS Leads Capacity-Building for NU RISE Community Extension Program

The School of Education, Arts and Sciences (SEAS) of NU Baliwag continues to demonstrate its commitment to service, excellence, and community impact as it successfully conducted a capacity-building session on November 12, 2025. The activity was designed for faculty members who will serve as facilitators of the NU RISE community extension program—one of the university’s flagship initiatives that champions inclusive development and lifelong learning.

The session focused on two crucial areas: ethical research and child protection. With the participation of representatives from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region III, the training provided faculty members with essential knowledge, guidelines, and best practices to ensure that community-engaged activities are handled with professionalism, integrity, and utmost care for vulnerable groups.

This collaboration highlights NU Baliwag’s dedication to fostering meaningful partnerships that elevate the quality and impact of its outreach programs. By equipping educators with the right tools and perspectives, SEAS strengthens its mission of creating transformative learning experiences—both inside and outside the classroom.

Guided by the National University’s core values of compassion and patriotism, SEAS continues to promote a culture of service that aligns with global priorities. The training reinforces the university’s support for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10) and Partnership for the Goals (SDG 17).

Through initiatives like NU RISE, NU Baliwag reaffirms its role as a proactive, community-centered institution—one that shines not only in academic excellence but also in building a more inclusive and empowered society. 💛💙
