NU Manila College of Computing and Information Technologies Shines on the ASEAN Stage
The animated short film “Kumpas” by the NU Manila College of Computing and Information Technologies (CCIT) brought home the Best Animation Short Film Award at the 8th PRISM UBD Short Film Festival 2025, held at Universiti Brunei Darussalam.
The film was created by BSIT Multimedia and Animation students competing as Team KwaTroop—Thea Andrea Nery, Jasmine Rose Saligan, Emlan Implica, and Jan Bianca Tejome—whose creativity, teamwork, and passion truly shine on the international stage.
Standing out among entries from universities across Southeast Asia, Kumpas captured the judges’ attention through its heartfelt storytelling and strong technical execution. The win proves that NU CCIT students are not only skilled in technology, but also capable of telling powerful stories that connect with audiences.
