NUNS Faculty Excellence: Earning Global Scholarships
NU Nazareth School’s commitment to continuous professional development has led to a significant milestone for its educators, earning recognition in highly competitive global virtual exchange programs.
Two of our esteemed faculty members, Mr. Daniel Juan and Ms. Joan Nabor, were awarded full scholarships for the 2025–2026 AFS Effect+ for the Classroom Program. This prestigious virtual exchange is designed for in-service educators worldwide and focuses on integrating global competence, intercultural understanding, and global citizenship into the classroom. They were selected as part of an elite group of 150 global recipients, chosen from over 600 applicants representing 57 countries.
Further elevating this achievement, Ms. April Joy Arcilla also secured a full scholarship for the 2025 AFS Global STEM Educator Program. This intensive six-week virtual exchange aims to strengthen global best practices in STEM education. Ms. Arcilla was likewise among the 150 global awardees, selected from a highly competitive pool of 600+ applicants across 57 countries.
These remarkable accomplishments reflect the Nazalian spirit of excellence, innovation, and global leadership, as NU Nazareth School continues to empower its educators to make a meaningful impact beyond borders.
