NU Dasmariñas Civil Engineering Department Achieves Maiden Scopus-Indexed Publication
NU Dasmariñas marks a significant milestone in research excellence as the Civil Engineering Department secures its maiden Scopus-indexed publication, reinforcing the university’s commitment to advancing data-driven and innovative educational practices.
The study, titled “Assessing the Impact of Blended Learning Mathematics Intervention on Civil Engineering Students’ Performance: A Post-Pandemic Evaluation Using Hierarchical Linear Modeling and Sensitivity Analysis,” was authored by Engr. Jan Denniel B. Escaño, Program Chair of the Civil Engineering Department, alongside faculty members Engr. Jozel Bryan M. Terrible and Engr. John Leander R. Landicho.
The research evaluated the effectiveness of a post-pandemic blended mathematics intervention, integrating both online and face-to-face learning approaches for civil engineering students. Findings revealed improved mathematical proficiency and enhanced overall academic performance, underscoring the importance of reinforcing foundational mathematics alongside specialized engineering coursework.
