NU’s Dr. Jessie Barrot Rises to Top 0.1% of World’s Researchers
National University proudly congratulates Dr. Jessie S. Barrot, Assistant Vice President for Research and Development, for once again earning a place on the 2025 World’s Top 2% Researchers list!
This year, he soared to the #1 spot among higher education researchers in the Philippines, while holding steady at #2 nationwide in the single-year category. On the global stage, Dr. Barrot achieved a remarkable 55.1% leap, climbing nearly 13,000 spots to land in the Top 0.1% of researchers worldwide. Dr. Barrot is the first and only Philippine higher education researcher ever to reach this milestone in the history of the list. He also ranked #2 in Linguistics and #7 in Education across Southeast Asia. As a more notable distinction, Dr. Barrot earned a coveted spot in the career-long impact ranking. This is a far more selective list that recognizes scholars with consistent, high-impact contributions sustained over many years.
