Seminar on SDG 13 – Climate Adaptation in Action: Building Resilience Today

Last September 3, 2025, the Community Extension (ComEx) Office hosted a hybrid seminar on climate action titled “Climate Adaptation in Action: Building Resilience Today.”

The session featured Mr. Rexor Amancio, a climate advocate and strategist, who shared valuable insights and expert analysis on the severe impacts of climate change currently affecting our communities. The seminar highlighted the urgent need for proactive and adaptive strategies to secure our future. Participants were equipped with crucial knowledge on how to transition from simply recognizing the threat to actively building resilience against climate-related vulnerabilities in their daily lives and local communities.

This event reinforced the university’s dedication to environmental education and sustainability, urging the community to move beyond awareness toward tangible adaptation. This seminar directly addresses SDG 13 (Climate Action) by focusing on the target of improving education, awareness-raising, and human and institutional capacity on climate change mitigation, adaptation, impact reduction, and early warning.
