NU Baliwag continues to make its mark in the field of campus journalism as it proudly celebrates a remarkable achievement at the Luzonwide Higher Education Press Conference (LHEPC) held on March 19, 2026, in Tuguegarao City.

Roi Jendrick Jacinto, a third-year AB English Language student, earned 6th place in the highly competitive Opinion Writing Contest, showcasing his strong voice, critical thinking, and excellence in written expression. His achievement stands as a testament to the growing talent and potential of NU Baliwag’s student journalists.

This milestone is even more significant as it marks the first participation of the Quintal Campus Publication in the Luzonwide competition, going head-to-head with over 40 campus publications from across Luzon. The strong debut highlights the university’s commitment to nurturing student excellence in communication and media.

Jacinto was guided and supported by Mr. Jaypee Z. Paraiso, faculty-adviser of the Quintal Campus Publication, whose mentorship played a vital role in honing the student’s skills and preparing him for the competition.
