Raising the bar and bringing pride to the blue and gold 💛💙 — NU Baliwag Economics students emerged as top performers at the Philippine Economics Situationer 2026 Case Competition, held at University of the Philippines Clark on April 18, 2026.

Yanni Rodriguez, Anya Gwyneth Flores, Musique Psychie Vergara, and Joseph Benedict Dizon impressed the judges with their case study, “Upscaling and Globalizing Ube Production in the Philippines: Challenges and Policy Interventions”—also known as the Purple Gold Initiative.

Their outstanding work earned Best Paper, with an additional recognition for Best Presenter, and secured the team as Overall 3rd Runner-Up.
