NU Fairview IT Student Representatives Crowned CHAMPIONS in the Non-Technical Application Track at the Caffeine AI Hackathon 2025

The School of Engineering and Technology proudly celebrates our 4th Year BS Information Technology students, Roldan Angelo Ramos, Ken-G Silvano, and Elijah Jesse Mariano for emerging as Champions for the Non-Technical Application Track at the Caffeine AI Hackathon 2025, organized by the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) last October 28, 2025, in Manila, Philippines!

Under the group name Team Ascent, the group competed against over 200 participants, including university students and industry professionals. The students represented NU Fairview with exceptional skill, creativity, and teamwork. In under two hours, the team successfully developed a fully functioning application called BetterBee, an AI-powered habit-building platform that gamifies personal growth and empowers individuals to connect with communities of like-minded achievers pursuing the same goals.

Built entirely through Caffeine AI, the world’s first Self-Writing Internet where humans can build applications purely through conversation, BetterBee showcased the team’s mastery of next-generation AI tools and innovative problem-solving under high-pressure conditions.
Their project stood out for its real-world relevance, originality, and technical execution, earning them the championship title in this prestigious national competition.

Congratulations to our outstanding innovators for carrying the torch of Nationalian excellence, innovation, and leadership into the future of technology!
