On March 4, 2026, the NU Fairview Junior Financial Executives, under the School of Business and Accountancy, conducted an outreach initiative titled “Financial Literacy Seminar for Gen Zs” at Bagong Silangan High School. This activity forms part of the organization’s continuing commitment to promoting financial awareness and responsible economic decision-making among Filipino youth.
The seminar featured two resource speakers from the School of Business and Accountancy. Mr. Jose Angelo V. Gomez delivered a lecture on the Ten Principles of Economics, emphasizing their practical applications in personal finance, resource allocation, and everyday financial decision-making. His discussion provided participants with a foundational understanding of how economic principles influence individual and societal financial behaviors.
Meanwhile, Mr. Jhon Daniel Pamandanan focused on Financial Goal Setting, highlighting strategies for creating realistic financial plans, cultivating healthy saving habits, and developing long-term financial discipline that aligns with the needs and aspirations of Generation Z learners.
Through this initiative, the NU Fairview Junior Financial Executives reaffirm their dedication to fostering financial literacy among young audiences, empowering students with knowledge that supports lifelong financial well-being. The organization extends its gratitude to Bagong Silangan High School for its warm reception and looks forward to future collaborations that advance education, community involvement, and youth empowerment.
