National University Receives Recognition from PPSC for Championing Education, Innovation, and Public Service


National University (NU) is recognized by the Philippine Public Safety College (PPSC) during the 2025 Most Outstanding Faculty Awarding Ceremony held at the Heroes Hall, PPSC Head Office in Old Balara, Quezon City.

The recognition, presented by PBGen Ferdinando G. Sevilla (Ret.), DPSSG, MPSA, President of PPSC, highlights NU’s enduring partnership and invaluable contributions to the advancement of public safety education. NU is commended for its continued support through the sharing of Subject Matter Experts in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics, as well as for strengthening institutional linkages and academic collaboration. These initiatives significantly contribute to PPSC’s mission of providing realistic, grounded, and innovative learning experiences for its faculty and students.


The ceremony is graced by DILG Undersecretary Omar Alexander V. Romero, who serves as Guest of Honor and Speaker for the Public Safety and Security Governance Sector, and Prof. Julio S. Amador III, Executive Director of the Philippine-American Educational Foundation (Fulbright Philippines), representing the education sector.

Dean Emeliza Yabut, Dean of the College of Computing and Information Technologies (CCIT), represents National University and proudly receives the Plaque of Recognition and the symbolic carved eagle sculpture—a meaningful emblem of strength, partnership, and a shared vision for nation-building through education and research excellence.

The Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with Specialization in Digital Forensics, offered at NU Manila’s College of Computing and Information Technologies, exemplifies the University’s dedication to equipping students with the expertise needed to support and advance the country’s cybersecurity and public safety initiatives.
