National University Strengthens Startup Ecosystem Through Partnership with SCALE NCR

National University, represented by the Research and Development Office (RDO) and the Innovation and Sustainable Development (ISD) Office, recently held a benchmarking meeting with the Strategic and Collaborative Alliance for Leveraging Ecosystem of Startups – National Capital Region (SCALE NCR). The engagement aimed to foster collaboration, share best practices related to startups, and strengthen institutional partnerships within the startup ecosystem network.

The session served as a platform for both organizations to exchange insights on innovative strategies, academic and incubation programs, and operational practices that contribute to continuous improvement and organizational excellence within National University.

Following the benchmarking activity, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between National University Incorporated, represented by Dr. Jessie S. Barrot, Assistant Vice President for Research and Development, and SCALE NCR, represented by Ms. Maria Cristina L. Ibañez, President of SCALE NCR.

The MOU outlines the shared commitment of both parties to collaborate on the development and growth of the NCR startup ecosystem, including joint planning and implementation of activities, exchange of resources and mentors, coaching and mentoring of startups, and promotion of startup-related initiatives within the National University community.

This partnership underscores National University’s dedication to innovation, collaboration, and sustainable development, reinforcing its mission to empower Nationalians through meaningful industry and ecosystem linkages that drive impact and excellence.
