NU Manila CTHM Students Host Successful “Discovering Opportunities” Conference


The College of Tourism and Hospitality Management (CTHM) of NU Manila, through the Introduction to Meeting, Incentives, Conferences, and Events Management (MICE) classes of HRM 231 and HRM 232, successfully organized the conference “Discovering Opportunities for Tomorrow’s Industry Practitioners” at the SMX Convention Center Aura.

With the theme S.A.I.L – Setting Aspirations into Leadership, the conference featured industry professionals from the Aviation, Accommodation, and Food & Beverage sectors, who shared valuable insights bridging academic learning and real-world practice. Mr. Dennis Del Mar emphasized the importance of mindset and values in aviation success; Mr. Rafael Y. Castelo highlighted innovation and creativity in upscale dining; and Ms. Marga Clarence P. Bolalin discussed achieving operational excellence through empowered staff and attention to detail in luxury hotels.

Graced by Dean Medelene L. Forbes and Program Chairperson Mr. Rodolfo E. Cabardo, the event was spearheaded by MICE class advisers Ms. Remedios M. Najera and Ms. Irene B. Francia and successfully inspired future hospitality professionals to pursue leadership and excellence in the industry.
