The 1st International Nursing Undergraduate Research Symposium takes place at NU Manila College of Allied Health Nursing Department, in partnership with the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR), Orvis College of Nursing. With the theme “Unifying diverse nursing perspectives to inspire collaboration and innovation in addressing global healthcare challenges,” the event is led by Dr. Marilen F. Pacis, Dean of the College of Allied Health, and Dr. Charles T. Yingling, Dean of UNR-Orvis School of Nursing, with support from Dr. Deborah Shindell and Dr. Jackie Ferdowsali of UNR’s Office of Global Engagement.

The symposium features poster presentations from 18 NU nursing students, 4 NU faculty, and 11 UNR students, highlighting collaborative research. This inaugural event marks the beginning of stronger global research partnerships, paving the way for future joint initiatives that promote innovation, knowledge exchange, and solutions to pressing healthcare challenges.
